1. Product introduction

The device featuring battery-powered, ultra-low power consumption, IP68-rated and wireless communication. Suitable for monitoring sites with no power supply availability and in harsh environments (e.g., pipeline or manholes); Users can view real-time monitoring data via the device's high-definition LCD screen, while the wireless communication capability enables remote data monitoring through a cloud-based platform. Operating on battery power, the device features easy installation, extended battery lifespan, and stable operation.

2. Product function

2.1 Monitor and Sampling

The device is capable of automatically collecting flow data and transmitting it to the monitoring system platform via 4G or NB-IoT communication at scheduled intervals.It also reports parameters such as system voltage, site ID, and signal strength.

2.2 Data storage

Equipped with data storage capability, the pipeline flow monitor features an automatic data storage chip capable of storing over 500,000 sets of monitoring data

2.3 Breakpoint resume

The device is equipped with breakpoint data resumption functionality, enabling data storage at interruption points during weak or no-signal conditions. It seamlessly resumes transmission of historical data from breakpoints to the monitoring system platform once network connectivity is restored.

2.4 Battery monitoring

The device can monitor the battery voltage and charge percentage. When the battery voltage or charge level is low, the backend system displays the voltage status and alerts the user to replace the battery promptly, preventing the device from losing power and malfunctioning

2.5 Multi-level alerts

The system adjusts the data collection and transmission cycles based on rainfall and runoff flow requirements to meet rainy-day scheduling and monitoring data demands

2.6 Remote configuration

3. Installation Instructions

3.1 Installation precautions

The flow monitoring points of the drainage network are generally arranged at the intersection of the main pipeline, key branch pipelines, and multiple drainage areas.In the actual installation of flow meters, the following guidelines should be adhered to:

• The pipeline flow monitor should be installed in environments with a calm and stable water surface, there is no backflow and vortex, within the measurement range, and no obstacles on the water surface;

. Avoid installing pipeline flow monitors at locations such as drainage outlets, vertical drops, flow barriers, drainage wells, river channel (pipeline) confluence, and river channel (pipeline) bends, as these locations can seriously affect measurement accuracy. Installation should be carried out in an environment with slow and stable water flow, either upstream or downstream of the location;

. Monitoring points should avoid being installed in pipelines with structurally complex or loose/deteriorated manhole walls, as the pipeline flow monitor is fixed to the manhole wall via mounting brackets. such compromised wall conditions would increase installation difficulty

. If installation near a pipeline junction is unavoidable and one of the pipelines has a higher water level, the Doppler sensor should be installed at the pipeline base, while the pipeline flow monitor must be oriented to directly face the water flow direction
