1. Instructions
The radar flow sensor is a non-contact integrated flow monitoring device independently developed and designed by our company, It utilizes advanced K-band planar radar technology to measure the flow velocity and water level in a non-contact manner.Based on the built-in software algorithm, it calculates and outputs real-time sectional flow and cumulative flow. It is suitable for non-contact flow measurement in scenarios such as river channels, irrigation canals, underground drainage pipeline networks, flood prevention and early warning systems.
2. Principle

This device is a non-contact planar radar flow sensor designed for surface water level monitoring, based on precision electromagnetic wave ranging technology. The sensor emits electromagnetic waves to illuminate the water surface and receives their echoes, thereby obtaining information such as the distance from the water surface to the electromagnetic wave emission point, rate of distance change (radial velocity), azimuth and elevation.

3. Electrical characteristics
1. It features low working and standby current, can be powered by solar energy for easy installation and maintenance-free;
2. Equipped with a lightning protection circuit capable of withstanding 6KV lightning strikes, ensuring effective device protection during thunderstorms;
3. High testing precision and stable data effectively ensure the accuracy of measurements;
4. Supports wired communication methods such as RS485,RS232 and 4-20mA;
5. Supports wireless communication methods such as 4G, NB-IOT and Lora
4. Installation instructions
4.1 Installation precautions
To ensure high measurement accuracy, radar flow sensors should be installed in areas with calm and stable water surfaces, free from backflow, whirlpools, obstructions, and within the specified measurement range. Installation should be avoided in the following scenarios: drainage outlets, vertical drop structures, flow baffles, bends or junctions in rivers/pipes
1. Installation should be avoided in areas where the water flow direction changes, such as horizontal bends or drops in the horizontal plane
2. Installation should be avoided in sloped areas
3. Installation should be avoided in areas with gratings or baffles within the water

2. Unaffected by environmental factors such as temperature, sediment, dust, river pollutants,surface floating debris or air pressure
