1. Product Introduction
Portable/hand-held ultrasonic flow meters (energy meters) are used to measure the flow and heat of various single uniform liquids that can conduct ultrasonic waves.
The portable/hand-held ultrasonic flowmeter adopts non-contact measurement method, with large measurement range, no moving mechanical parts, and is not affected by the pressure of the system and the harsh environment. It has been successfully applied to the measurement of water, pure water, seawater, sewage, chemical liquid, river water, fuel oil and other fluids.
The upper limit temperature of the standard sensor is 110°C. Please contact the manufacturer or supplier if the temperature exceeds this limit.
2. Working principle
When the ultrasonic beam propagates in the liquid, the flow of the liquid will produce a small change in the propagation time, which is proportional to the flow rate of the liquid. At zero flow, the time required for the two sensors to transmit and receive sound waves is exactly the same (the only technology that can actually measure zero flow). When the liquid is flowing, the sound wave transmission time in the reverse flow direction is greater than the sound wave transmission time in the forward flow direction.
